My journey with Mathematics and Data
I'm Wajdi, and I'm a statistician. People once called what I do “data science”. Now they often call it AI. To me, it is still mathematics, inference, and careful thinking applied to real problems.
My work sits between analytical practice and practical leadership: building data capability, teaching data visualization, and helping organizations make better use of evidence, models, and intelligent systems.
Areas of work
My core areas include artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, deep learning, automation, experimentation, and applied statistical reasoning.
A principle I keep close
“All models are wrong, but some are useful.”
George E. P. Box
Currently leading Data Science and AI teams, helping organizations with statistics and applied machine learning, teaching data visualization, and preparing the next chapter at the intersection of research, technology, and decision-making.
What this site is about
This website brings together my work as a statistician and AI expert, with interests in artificial intelligence, machine learning systems, deep learning, and the use of quantitative thinking in real organizations.
