My journey with Mathematics and Data

I'm Wajdi, and I'm a statistician. People once called what I do “data science”. Now they often call it AI. To me, it is still mathematics, inference, and careful thinking applied to real problems.

My work sits between analytical practice and practical leadership: building data capability, teaching data visualization, and helping organizations make better use of evidence, models, and intelligent systems.

Areas of work

My core areas include artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, multi-class and multi-language classification, data visualization, statistical software development, automation, experimentation, and applied statistical reasoning.

A principle I keep close

“All models are wrong, but some are useful.”
